Why Do we Need Drivers?

Have you been ever thinking about the importance of drivers. No? You’d better think. Because apart from long scientific explanations, drivers are such unnoticeable (from the first sight) programs, which become more than noticeable when you don’t have them, when you have deleted them by accident or simply don’t know there to get them … You computer simply doesn’t work the way it should …. I think it is no use to recommend you to avoid such situations, so pay attention to the fact that - the device driver is a very important piece of software!!! And your PC needs it in order to ensure a reliable and adequate work of your operating system. So any driver is an intermediary first of all and it ensures the smooth cooperation of your operating system, and the underlying hardware and peripherals. For instance, it is impossible to make your printers, data storage devices, monitors and even motherboards work properly without drivers.

Think of a driver as a program split into 2 parts or layers: the logical layer and the physical layer. All you have to do is to make sure that you have all the needed drivers installed on your computer and never ever even think to delete them. Once I had such situation with my Lexmark printer drivers. It was really awful, I spent a couple of days to make it work properly!!!
