Designed to help reduce the risk of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, the Moldable Mouse from Lite-On Technology and P&C Design Center is one of a kind. Still in its concept stage, the Moldable Mouse is made of a non-toxic, lightweight modeling clay that can be kneaded to maintain any shape the user desires. It is covered with a nylon/polyurethane blend fabric that comes in numerous colors and is said to feel similar to silk, making it as visually pleasing as it is to touch. The click buttons and touch-sensitive scroll pad on the mouse are made of stick-on parts that can be moved around and adjusted using the mouse’s built-in Radio Frequency Identification Device.
For people who spend hours in front of the computer every day, the Moldable Mouse is designed to reduce wrist-related injuries caused repeated motions of the same posture using a traditional plastic mouse. There is no word yet on how well the mouse actually works, cost, or release date, but you can check out these nice pictures.
