Useful gadgets

Today I would like to write a couple of words about a very interesting toy. This sound train was created by designer Ricardo Seola and it is a fantastic and highly useful educational music toy for children. BTW, it literally features a train and a track and their music is so cute.

Pleo Just The Beginning In Automated Pets Yet To Come

pleo-delay-thumbAfter numerous delays and release-date changes, the robotic Camarasaurus from California-based robotics manufacturers Ugobe has officially been launched. The robotic toy-pet was designed by Caleb Chung, co-creator of the Furby, which could be considered one of the earliest forms of virtual-pets. The Pleo features lifelike movement and sound, and according to Ugobe, each Pleo will “learn” from its experiences and environment through a sophisticated artificial intelligence and develop an individual personality. The robot is software-upgradable via SD card or USB interfaces and comes with a $350 price tag.

While in its current state the Pleo is mostly regarded as a toy. However, it’s predicted that the virtual pet may very well be the beginning of a huge wave of inexpensive robots yet to come, designed to offer people companionship the same way a living pet would.

USB Mini Car

Absolutely stupid an useless thing! But it’s so charming that I just couldn’t pass by. This one would be interesting for all car lovers, these people who cannot imagine their life without their car, but still they have to use only for getting to work and back home.

So, here is a USB-powered garage with small rechargeable car inside. Just plug in the garage in USB port of your PC, wait ten minutes to charge car inside the garage. Then open the doors and let your small buddy out using your keyboard arrows. A special software that comes within a package will help you to manipulate the car. Just beware and don’t spill the coffee on your table, drive carefully!

The USB R/C Mini Car’s dimensions are 3.5″ x 1.75″ x 1.5″, garage dimensions are 5″ x 3″ x 3″. The package includes car, garage (charger), software (Windows only), instructions and sticker shit. It is offered by ThinkGeek for $29.99.
