Japan’s Tmsuk and Waseda University have created one of the most incredible robots ever. Frankly speaking, their creations have always been nice and amazing but now they are even more than that. Their new robot comes with a completely human-like face that is capable of expressing true emotions and even feelings.

Have a look at the following creature! It looks like a real human-being and I perfectly understand that its face expression tells us that he is afraid of something. Ladies and gentlemen, I am ready to show you the KOBIAN Emotional Humanoid Robot, that can not only express feeling, but to walk about and interact with humans.

Manufacturers claim that the robot is capable of providing you with the whole range of emotions. What is more, the robot comes with a new double-jointed neck and minor motors in its face allow the robot to move its lips, eyelids and eyebrows. Definitely – one of the most incredible robots ever!

The Readybot Robot Challenge is a non-profit research group who recently released an amazing video of its Readybot that cleans a family room full of toys and clutter. This video of the Readybot Robot Challenge is the second video that follows its previous video of a kitchen cleaning robot.

Benson Readybot Director stresses on the fact that the future of the robotics is very bright. At times robots will be bought part by part and will be assembled to be a complete one just like the computers. The robot arms, bases, video systems could be made by different vendors and then plugged together.

The Readybot room cleaner robot looks almost like a dishwasher but the only difference is that it has arms. This Readybot robot uses a carpet rake attachment to scrape toys into plastic bins, moving sideways and diagonally to reach tight spots. It also stores the bins in a cabinet, closes the door, and empties the trash. Another clip of the Readybot shows that it scoots out to vacuum the carpet.

With all such amazing and unbelievable acts the Readybot room cleaner robot will be announced in the Fall of 2008.

This was last week’s joint demonstration put on by the Japan Science And Technology Agency and Duke University, who say it is the first time brain signals have ever been used to make a robot walk. Electronic impulses in the monkey’s brain were transmitted halfway around the world into the robot, demonstrating that signals can be transmitted across the Earth in the same time scale that a biological system works. It is also an exciting experiment that may one day lead to enabling paralyzed people to walk using robotics controlled by brain signals.

The robotic toy-pet was designed by Caleb Chung, co-creator of the Furby, which could be considered one of the earliest forms of virtual-pets. The Pleo features lifelike movement and sound, and according to Ugobe, each Pleo will “learn” from its experiences and environment through a sophisticated artificial intelligence and develop an individual personality. The robot is software-upgradable via SD card or USB interfaces and comes with a $350 price tag.

While in its current state the Pleo is mostly regarded as a toy. However, it’s predicted that the virtual pet may very well be the beginning of a huge wave of inexpensive robots yet to come, designed to offer people companionship the same way a living pet would.

This is a real geeky time killer! Inspired by old Japanese kid’s game and made by Brando Toys these robo-beetles have nice chances to become very popular among widest arrange of people (especially always bored office staff). All you need is to buy a pair of these tiny remote-controlled monsters, make some kind of fighting ring and find opponent who will control one of them. Let the fight begin!

As you see from this video, these beetles have 4 ways move and a battle function to lift up your opponent’s beetle, they are extremely flexible in their moves, very close to their real prototypes. You can invent your own rules – the goal of the battle could be to flip opponent’s beetle upside down, or to push him out of the fighting ring.

Beetles are sold at price $44.50 for each and shipped worldwide. Every package contains one Battle Beetle, dual channels radio remote controller with built-in recharge station and a battle practice target (non-robotic model).
