I must admit, one of the most frustrating things in my life is … a slow computer. I hate the way it works and makes me wait, wait and wait. And the most annoying thing … I don’t know why it happened because a couple of years ago my PC worked amazing. Actually, every few years I buy a new and expensive PC and I love everything in it: how fast it starts up, runs programs, and loads sites. But now it works that slow I am ready to kill it. Why?

The answer is simple, but only a couple of tech specialists know it. It’s not the computer hardware that cause all these mess, the problem lies in changes that occur to the PC’s software. The two most common reasons are:

registry errors

Every time somebody loads a program, game, or file, your PC’s software registry is updated with new instructions. The saddest part – even when you delete the loaded item, these instructions usually remain on your PC. So, every time you run your computer it tries to fulfill these instructions but, but they are already removed and it causes a registry error. As a result, your PC does a lot more work than it should.

What to do?

There are numerous programs working registry errors, one of them is called ARO 2011 and it scans, identifies, and fixes registry errors. Get a free version and try it on your PC.

spyware and viruses that are loaded on your computer without your knowledge or permission

Those tricky helpers cause you a lot of troubles and make your PC work very slow. Most spyware and viruses get onto our computers through files that we download from the Internet. These bad programs tend to take up a lot of computing power.

What to do?

Here is a simple rule to follow: never download any free software programs from companies you do not know and trust. What is more, make sure you have a good anti-virus/spyware removal software running at all times.

Hope, these recommendation will make you PC the fastest ever.

I guess we all imagine the way modern computers look – super slim, lightweight from expensive materials and so on. But everything started right on the contrary. The first computers were big and heavy and had nothing in common with modern ones. However, they were the first step in a long way to present day giants. Would you like to enjoy their shots?

I can’t believe it, a monochrome display and a keyboard like this. Incredible!

This one definitely look a bit better and I’ve even seen this PC with my own eyes. It worked only with DOS and had such a funny game with cats and a fence.

One more old PC.

This one has something in common with WALLE.

Sys Technology Sys SlimLine Si200

That’s not exactly a PC to play the newest versions of hot games, but it is a fine general performer that’s small and eye-pleasing as well. It comes with 2-GHz Pentium Dual-Core E2180, Intel 945, 160GB Hard Drive, ViewSonic VA1903WB and costs only $479.

Polywell Poly i7050

Offers rather impressive performance and quickly solves basic tasks, but it is a bit slow for games. Offers 2-GHz Pentium Dual-Core E2180, Nvidia 7150, 250GB Hard Drive and costs $499.

T5246

That is a very powerful PC with capacious storage and good expansion options, the only one option I don’t like about it – a small monitor. Comes with 2.2-GHz Athlon 64 X2 4200+, Nvidia GeForce 6100, 400GB Hard Drive and costs $620.
