Wii Fit In an attempt to market the interactivity of the Wii and appeal to new users, Nintendo is introducing the Wii Fit package to America in May 2008.

It was released in Japan on December 1, 2007, and has already sold over a million units. Wii Fit comes with a Balance Board which measures the user’s weight, centre of gravity, and body mass when told the user’s height. The package includes a game with about 40 different activities to perform including yoga, push-ups, muscle conditioning and aerobics.

The Wii Fit package hits American stores on May 20th and will sell for $69.99, but for those who really think they need this invention to get in shape, pre-sales begin on February 1.

When I first heard of the Wii I thought what a bust. I saw it as a sluggish comparison to the type of power consoles that were coming out in the Xbox 360 and the soon to be released Playstation 3. Now we are a year or so after the release of all of these systems. What is selling out and hard to find?? Alas, the Wii.

Nintendo Wii

I first played the Wii this last Christmas, I thought it would be a lot of fun especially because I have been hearing so much about it. Well for once, everything that people said about it was right. Although I didn’t throw the controller into the TV…haha! Anyhow, it is one of the most fun systems to play especially boxing, bowling, and tennis from the Wii Sports game.

I thought it was meant to be a contender for the other 2 aforementioned systems, however it has-in a way-revolutionized gaming. I can’t wait to play Madden or some other sports game that you can actually control the players like you are playing. Happy Gaming!
