It seems to me that the King Jim Pomera DM100 digital memo is about to add value to our lives and not because in was created in the Japan but these people definitely know how to create a new gadget perfectly fulfilling an existing gap.

The King Jim Pomera DM100 digital memo is meant to help you take your memos with you wherever you go, being able to access it anytime.

The gadget measures 24.5mm at its thickest point, and 11.6mm at its thinnest. The display itself is a 5.7″ TFT monochrome LCD display with backlight.

Really why not create a keyboard in a form of ABCDEF? Such a keyboard will be perfectly logical one and it will be an ideal computer keyboard for the one-finger typist. If you still use the hunt-and-peck method, get the following keyboard. Together with amazing design and so I love the price of the Hunt and Peck Keyboard ABCDEF layout gadget. You can get it for $30.

According to the manufacturer – the keyboard is made by high-quality silicone, that has no smell and a touch-pleasing one. Also, the keyboard is a completely environmental-friendly one. The keyboard can be used for both – a damp environment and even inside shallow water. What is more, you can easily spill some liquids on it and nothing will happen. NOTHING!

The manufacturer claims that there is no risk the keyboard can become dust inside since it is a completely dust-proof one. Fog and acid or alkaline environments are not a problem for it as well.

The only one thing I don’t like about it – is its fun yellow colour.

It is really challenging to make present when a person has everything, a standard kit: perfume, soap, books and etc., has been already presented and now you need something more creative … Just be careful sometimes too creative means stupid.
Frankly speaking, I can’t think of a person who would like to drink something stored in their rubber shoes. But who knows?! If you know such a person you are welcome to make him or her the following present.

My work implies everyday keyboard usage … So I know it very well. But once I was in Turkey and their keyboard was completely blind, after a couple of messages it started irritating me … I was printing D instead of S and wasn’t aware where to push to get the needed letter. Not great at all (((

To tell the truth I simply don’t understand how this small annoying and irritating thing can be called NICE!!! I think it is the most pointless gift you can give and receive and its relaxing benefit it is still quite in the air.

Just a concept, not more, but still this device might be very interesting. One more brilliant and simple idea from Artemiy Lebedev’s design agency. Optimus Tactus is a keyboard (the follower of Optimus Maximus as you see) that doesn’t have physical keys – the whole surface of this keyboard is touchscreen. That means that there are no restrictions on the keys shape, and of course their functions and picture. Moreover, any part of the keyboard surface can be programmed to perform any function or to display any images. That means that rather big part of this keyboard can work as display (playing video for example) while rest surface will work like keys.

Don’t have any idea about its price or when it will be available for sale, but looking at their previous stuff I guess that we’ll see Optimus Tactus in stores by the end of this year and the price will be definitely not less than $1000. So, anyway it’s just a good conceptional piece of hardware that could be extremely useful and will be interesting for every geek.

Customization became a strong fetish in today’s gadget industry. People are not satisfied anymore with usual devices. They need something that could be changed in the way they want, something that can satisfy their wishes and needs. So it’s no surprise that lots of customizable PC accessories appeared on market.

One of the most useful customizable gadgets was Optimus Maximus, a PC keyboard with led screens on each button (they change displaying images depending on current layout), designed by famous Russian designer Artemiy Lebedev. It looks like that now we’ve got the first serious alternative for it – Ergodex DX1 Input System

DX1 consists of three parts – the main pad, removable transparent tray and keys. The keys could be positioned anywhere on tray surface, allowing user to contour their position to the shape of his hand. Keys have an adhesive surface that allows them to be firmly attached to the Tray. Every key can act like usual keyboard key or execute predefined macros – you can configure them by special software that comes with it:

The only, but rather serious disadvantage is that there’s only 25 keys – this means that you can’t use it instead of regular keyboard, only as an addition to it. This fact makes it more interesting for gamers and task-oriented professionals, rather than office staff. But I guess that lots of other adoptions could be invented.

Ergodex DX1 package contains main pad, tray, 25 keys, blank and preprinted label sheets, quick start guide, installation CD and is sold for approximately $150.
