Wow, I am very glad to announce that Apple has finally released its new iPod Nano. The gadget looks … awesome and fantastic – I would definitely love to have one. The new iPod comes with a Multi-Touch display (1.5-inch color display with 240-by-240 pixel resolution), hard volume buttons, Voiceover, FM radio!!!, NIke+ support, and 24 hour battery life. Available in 8GB($149) or 16GB($179). I am ready to bet it will be a bestseller soon!

Elton John has officially launched his own line of iPod nano. That is the way he is going to raise money for his charity organization – the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The players are all things glam, gloss and chic. People like Swarovski and they like Elton John and iPods are undoubtful hits, so the combination is really hot and it promises to be fruitful. The gadgets will be available in black, green, orange, pink, purple, red, silver, and even yellow. Everybody concerned can buy them at Goldgenie and Selfridges. The initial price of the 8GB version is going $566 while the 16GB model will go for $638. The only one addition, there will be a limited edition of each player. Only 100 players of each colour.

Solar battery charger is a kind of device modern people can’t live without. It is a necessity nowadays, because more and more people adore buying all these electric devices such as iPods, mobile phones, laptops, etc. To tell the truth, when we speak about mobile phones or any other MOBILE device I would like it to justify its title. Lego-styled MP3 player & Ipod dock station

Those cute and simple funny gadgets are not concepts anymore. Lego MP3 player and Ipod dock station are already available for sale and ready to hit the market!

The MP3 Player looks just like an increased in size Lego block. All buttons (volume, pause, play, forward and backward controls and on/off button, of course) that are common for mp3 players are present and look like interlocking nubs on Lego blocks. The player is available in blue, red, yellow, green and white colors. It has built-in Li-ion battery that provides up to 6 hours of playing time. There’s no built-in memory, the device can play songs on microSD cards up to 2GB max. Retail price is $46.

The other lego-styled device is an Ipod dock station that looks like it was built from those world-popular blocks. There’s nothing to say about it – just a usual dock station with common buttons and functionality. It is also available in variety of colors for $46.

The Zune

The Zune has been one of the toughest competitors for the iPod. It is made by Apple’s counterpart, Microsoft. It has many features that the iPod does not have and is one of the best Mp3 players out on the market right now.

The reason I am writing about the Zune is as of lately, the prices have been declining and there are many places to purchase a Zune. For instance, Amazon.com was offering up Brown 30 Gig ones for 90 dollars or so. Nice Deal! Also, Microsoft Club is now featuring them for an interesting amount of club points at 20,000 points. That would be like playing the word jumble game and winning 1,000 times. I suppose I would pay somebody to do it or myself even.

Overall, The Zune is one of those products that if you are a loyal Microsoft buyer and/ or just don’t like Fads, then buy a Zune. I would also suggest Zunes for the person that likes a bigger face(screen), and doesn’t care about what everyone else has.

iTunes Announces 24-hour Movie Rentals

By the end of February 2008, iTunes will feature 24-hour movie rentals along with their music downloads.

With the latest version of iTunes, users will be able to watch films they select using their iTunes Store account to rent the title. Upon its launch at the end of February, over 1,000 movie titles will be available to rent from Touchstone, MGM, Miramax, Lions Gate, Fox, WB, Walt Disney, Paramount, Universal and Sony. New releases will be made available 30 days after the official DVD release.

Using your iTunes Store account you can select the title you wish to rent, making it available on your computer for 30 days. Once you click play, however, the video will begin to stream meaning you have 24 hours to finish it. In that 24 hours you can watch it as many times as you wish or transfer it to your Apple TV, iPhone or iPod Touch. When the 24 hours is done you will have to rent the title again to gain access to it.

Rentals will cost $2.99 for older releases, $3.99 for new releases and $4.99 for films in HD.

A Fad is Hard Not to Follow

In American society the iPod has take over like no other fad than before. Gone are the days of the walkman by Sony or even the cassette player. It is often amazing to me how iPods have been so popular for so long. I think at first people were very hesitant to pay for the gadget they were totally unsure of. 10-50 gigs on one small mp3 player??!!! No way!!! Well way is it has turned out… Anyhow the iPod has become one of the most soul saving devices on the Earth…just kidding…however it has become a Fad. The history was very interesting actually as it was more of an upper class accessory to have like an interesting Coffee Shop that later became a fad as well. The Coffee Shop’s name is Starbucks although not as expensive but just as addicting.
