The Nintendo Wii

When I first heard of the Wii I thought what a bust. I saw it as a sluggish comparison to the type of power consoles that were coming out in the Xbox 360 and the soon to be released Playstation 3. Now we are a year or so after the release of all of these systems. What is selling out and hard to find?? Alas, the Wii.

Nintendo Wii

I first played the Wii this last Christmas, I thought it would be a lot of fun especially because I have been hearing so much about it. Well for once, everything that people said about it was right. Although I didn’t throw the controller into the TV…haha! Anyhow, it is one of the most fun systems to play especially boxing, bowling, and tennis from the Wii Sports game.

I thought it was meant to be a contender for the other 2 aforementioned systems, however it has-in a way-revolutionized gaming. I can’t wait to play Madden or some other sports game that you can actually control the players like you are playing. Happy Gaming!

Nyko Unveils Wireless Nunchuck

Wireless Nunchuck

At the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show – which just wrapped up last week – Nyko revealed the wireless Nunchuk for the Wii. The Nunchuck will establish itself as an independent third-party controller and not just a clip-on accessory to the Wiimote when it will be made available for purchase early February. Perhaps this will also dawn the future of more Wii games that will utilize both remotes. The wireless Nunchuk comes with a small device that plugs into the bottom of the Wiimote where the cord would normally plug in. The wireless Nunchuk runs on two AAA batteries that Nyko claims will provide up to 30 hours of gameplay and will sell for about $30.

You Rock!!!

There’s nothing more exciting than playing Guitar Hero 3…well actually I can think of a number of things. So, I was on vacation in Tucson, Arizona with all my family. For Christmas, one of my cousins got Guitar Hero 3 luckily another cousin got the Nintendo Wii gaming console. I hope to break this up into two different posts as I want to talk about Guitar Hero specifically. The game was rather fun, it became like a competition per say but not exactly. The game is rather easy to master as by my count my 20th time playing the interesting guitar in general, I went 169 notes perfect finishing at the end with 96%. Its a lot of fun and completely different from the real thing but if I purchase one I will surely get more addicted. While playing on my 169 note tear I had a sudden epiphany that messed me up, I thought, ” If I can get this good by only playing a total of 20 times, then how good could I get if I actually go out and purchase this thing and play it maybe 200 times?” Interesting thought right, well it messed me up and a I missed a note….no perfect score.

Guitar Hero 3

So anyway to make a long story short, my review of this game. I think little kids can even have fun and enjoy this game. So, I rate it acceptable for all ages. The next thing is overall game play. We had a blast playing it as a family but when it is just one person my inner gut tells me it might be something different…lonesome perhaps?? So for best experience play with the fam or friends. Finally: my overall rating of the game: 8: Not everyone will like playing Guitar Hero in general or even may not like the guitar. That’s why it loses 2 points, plus, the music selection is kinda old school. I mean, I realize its a rock game but I would rather play much more linkin park, or anything from now. Also, its draw back of the experience is a little hard I mean a person has to be fairly coordinated with this game, so its not like the ones where you just get to sit down and enjoy the ride. Overall, I loved this game and would recommend it to anyone.

Pyramat has announced S2500w Wireless Sound Rocker to be launched in stock by the end of September 2007. It might be the first gaming armchair with built-in speakers that has FM wireless transmitter for delivering sound from any source. The creators promise that combination of built-in stereo speakers and 5,5” Powersub™ subwoofer will create a personal surround sound effect to accelerate your games to the next level. And custom contoured Poly-stretch fabric will provide comfort for hours of gaming.

It is also said that S2500w Sound Rocker will be good for watching movies and listening to music. I’m not quite sure that it can produce a hi-fi performance sound, but anyway it is compatible with all kinds of TVs, VCRs, MP3 and DVD players.
