Today I am going on with a very useful topic – file extensions. I think they are like health, when we are healthy, we don’t pay attention to it and the same situation we have with extensions, when everything is OK we don’t think of them and we understand how important they are only when something goes wrong. I highly recommend you to be vigilant and know at least some general information about important file extensions.

We will start with the GZ file extension. First of all, if you can’t open such a file, be careful, you may have a registry related error, so it is better to scan your computer for the existing errors.

File Extensions

The .GZ file extension stand for Gzip compressed archives. As a rule, such files contain compressed data and the only one way to make it uncompressed is to use numerous programs, such as WinZip, WinRAR and etc.

The second one is the file extension ASP. Actually, if Windows can’t open this extension the problem is the one that have been mentioned above. The following extension stands for Active Server Page and it is exactly the page where the scripts are processed by the Web server.

Hope this information will help you to understand your computer better )))
