head Expected to be released later this month from Vuzix is the iWear AV920-C, a headset specifically designed for first-person shooters. The device is capable of accepting video from anything with a composite video-out and displays it on its internal 640X480 LCD’s. It also allows gamers to connect up to four headsets together in a daisy chain to a single gaming console. Perfect for FPS gamers, the internal screen will display only your specific in-game view, eliminating the split-screen view on a typical television set. So not only does the iWear AV920-C bring you closer to being inside Call of Duty, Halo 3, or whatever your game of choice happens to be; but by eliminating the splitscreen, no longer can you peek onto your buddy’s side and check out where he is or what he’s up to.

According to Vuzix, wearing the headset is the equivalent to viewing a 62-inch display viewed from 9 feet away. No telling what it does to your retna’s, however, after hours of use. Price will also be announced later this month with the release of the headset.

Force Feedback Gaming Vest Makes Bullets Wounds More Realistic!

If you’re a glutton for punishment or would like to make gaming a little bit more realistic then the Force Feedback gaming vest from TNGames is definitely for you. This PC based accessory is meant to make you feel like your actually being shot at. Who wouldn’t want that?

The vest is attached to your PC and an air compressor. It simulates bullet wounds and other contact by utilizing the compressor to give you a jolt. The pressure depends on what hit you. Melee, bullets, and explosions all have different degrees of pressure, so you won’t confuse someone hitting you with the butt of their gun for your team mate dropping their grenade in the spawn area.

The vest will run you $169 and only works with 10 different games. TNGames offers an SDK for the Force Feedback gaming vest so new publishers and modders can add compatibility as they see fit. I’m not sure how well this gadget will catch one though. That’s kind of a steep price just to feel bullets hit my flabby gut as I lose over and over again in Unreal Tournament 3.

The following games are supported:

  • Unreal Tournament 3
  • Crysis
  • Clive Barker’s Jerichp
  • Halflife 2 – Episodes 1 and 2
  • Medal Of Honor Airboren
  • F.E.A.R.
  • Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
  • Quake 4
  • Doom 3
  • Call of Duty 2

Sometimes when playing a computer game, I find myself hitting the wrong keys completely by accident. I’ll be looking to strafe, but unfortunately I’ll slip a key and turn around, leaving me with pelted with arrows or mauled by a wild animal. Although after plenty of practice, slip ups like that don’t seem to happen as often, using a modified keyboard would definitely guarantee it never happens.

The Wolfking Warrior Xxtreme is exactly the keyboard to help you out in a situation like this. If you had a chance to see the original keyboard, you’ll notice that this one has a lot more to offer. The keyboard sports two “Wolf-Claw” ergonomic layouts for your hand to get to the key you need faster. Although it doesn’t look like it, this 94 key beauty actually has all the keys you need to write on your favorite blog about how you got ganked by a rogue while you were minding your own business. If your gaming rig was rig was lacking a few extra usb ports, the Wolfking Warrior Xxtreme will actually provide you with two slots built into it for the one it takes up.

So grab your friends for a LAN party and sit telling stories under the “Blue Moon” backlight glow that your keyboard will give off. When your friends become scared as you detail your life without this keyboard and how you will surely pwn them, don’t forget to taunt them that you can turn the volume up to rejoice in your kill directly from the keyboard as you slay them.

London

The Secret World was initially kept secret by Funcom until it was revealed in the previous year. Now, after around eight months of the confirmation of MMO, another scoop sprung up. As per the reports it is revealed in an interview with the UK’s PC Zone magazine that the whole project got its inspiration from the classic Japanese horror movie The Ring.

This is explained by the product manager Erling Ellingson. He says our world serves the background to The Secret World. Still, there is a world beyond shown in the game. This is the world of eerie creatures or monsters with their mystic, dark and sinister conspiracies.

“We’re putting a lot of effort into making huge, believable environments,” revealed Ellingson, “you will actually be exploring vast cities such as London and New York. This creates some really exciting opportunities for us as a developer, to actually set a massive online game in real-world cities.”

The setting of the Secret World is different from other MMOs. It will male everything look real driving you all into it. The game is still in the process of development. No information is available on its release. Keep patience. After all wonders need time. “Rome wasn’t built in a day”.

Sony Hopes To Cash In On All-White PS3

ps3 white Sony recently announced they will be releasing their all-white version of the Playstation 3 to North America sometime soon, though no release date is clear.

With all the talk of the PS3 being too expensive compared to the other two consoles on the market, it seems Sony is still cashing in on sales with the high price. Sony plans to manufacture a white, 40GB PS3 for the American market, with pictures of the all-white version recently released. If they really needed to increase sales they would either lower the retail price or include more extras with the console, rather than simply changing the colour of the outer plastic. This proves to me that even with the lack of interesting titles currently available for the PS3, Sony has no intention of lowering the cost of the console any time soon. And with great new titles yet to be released, gamers will have all the more reason to purchase a PS3 for its ridiculous price. Black or white outer casing, it’s up to you to pay as much as Sony is asking for its PS3 with Blu-Ray capabilities.

The ceramic white PS3 will sell for $499.00.
